Getting error "Property IsHubTransportServer can't be set on this object...." while installing Exchange 2007 on an Exchange 2003 environment.
I currently was tasked with creating a domain controller and an exchange server for a separate site in an existing domain. Currently exchange is running in a mixed environment with both 2003 and 2007 exchange servers on the network. The schema prep and ad prep has already been ran for the earlier 2007 exchange server. I am trying to add a Exchange Server 2007 with Windows Server 2008 x64 as the operating system and I continue to get the following error: Property IsHubTransportServer can't be set on this object because it requires the object to have version 0.1 (8.0.535.0) or later. The object's current version is 0.0 (6.5.6500.0). I currently have domain admin/exchange admin rights and I run into this error every time I attempt to install Exchange. I am also using ESXi 4.0. Please assist.

I beleive you may need to install CAS/ Hub Server in Site. The current version it displays is of Exchange 2003 server. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/158530

Check the exchange schema version in the remote DC: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/556086 --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Later i compare with other machine running Exchange 2010 and found out that during installation i didnot tick the winRM IIS extenstion so i went ahead and and uninstall winrm and reinstalll Exchange 2010 this time all installation went okkay. So bottom line dont instal winrm iis extenstion in add feature. (if machine inside hyper.)

I get that error message while the Hub transport role is installing. Did you ever resolve this issue?
